The board invites you to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vereniging Het Ree together. This anniversary celebration will take place at Hotel Bakker, Dorpsstraat 24, in Vorden on June 4, 2022 and has the theme “Biodiversity”. This day consists of two different parts: The general meeting and the lustrum celebration.

The GMM

The morning is reserved for the general meeting of members (GMM) exclusively for
members, prospective members, members of merit and honorary members.
The GMM starts at 10.30 am.

The agenda is as follows:
1. Opening and setting agenda.
2. Notices.
3. Minutes General Meeting of 5 June 2021
4. Annual report for the year 2021.
5. Financial report for the year 2021.
6. Report of the audit committee on the 2021 financial statements.
7. Discharge of the board.
8. Appointment of members of the Audit Committee.
9. Budget 2022.
10. Determine contribution 2022.
11. Changes to internal regulations.
12. Appreciation of members
13. Question.
14. Changes in the National Board. a. Members of the Board b. Chairman
15. Closure.
*) Presentation of the golden pin with crown and the Exchange Prize “Vereniging Het Ree” will take place in the afternoon during the lustrum celebration.

From 19 May 2022, members can request the underlying documents for the GMM via ledenservice@hetree.nl .

A special agenda item of this General Members’ Meeting is the farewell of the current national chairman René Leegte and the appointment of the new, incoming national chairman. The LB nominates Mrs. Susanne Bolouri here.

Again: The morning program is exclusively for members, aspiring members, members of merit and honorary members!

Photographer Huib Mekers will take pictures of both the ALV and the lustrum celebration all day long. If someone does not want to be photographed because of privacy, please pass it on to Huib.

The Lustrum Celebration

The afternoon program also offers non-members the opportunity to be present for the activities that take place then.

The afternoon program is as follows:

12.00 pm – 1.20 pm
Festive lunch, offered to you by the board, framed by hunting horn music by the hunting horn company Vivat.
Please register for this lunch via ledenservice@hetree.nl and inform us of your dietary requirements and possible allergies. The closing date for this is 29 May 2022.

1.30 pm – 3.00 pm
At the start of the event, René Leegte will look back on 70 years of VHR and look ahead to the challenges ahead. The presentation of the golden pins with crown and the Exchange Prize “Vereniging Het Ree” will also take place.

Mini symposium on Biodiversity.
As an advisor to the VHR, Rob Borst has made a first step towards the role of the roe deer in Dutch nature. Can the roe deer be an indication of the state of biodiversity? What are the arguments for managing the roe deer in the long term? Rob will kick off the symposium. The panel includes

  • Marjan Minnesma, Director of Urgenda (with the vision on climate forest from Urgenda),
  • Jan Griekspoor (with the vision of Staatsbosbeheer on roe deer management) and
  • Sander Wurfbain, vice chairman of the Federation of Private Land Ownership. (the vision from the private landowners on the deer management and the role of the wolf).

The moderator is René Leegte.

After this, those present will have the opportunity to ask questions to the panel.

To conclude the mini symposium, the raffle of a thermal imaging camera
(Lahoux Spotter Mini worth €800), which Lahoux Optics has made available for the lustrum. A fantastic gesture from Lahoux!

16.00 hrs-18.00 hrs Festive closing and drinks
During the festive drink, the signing of the book “Het Ree, van binnen en buiten” and thanks to the writers and those involved will take place. The book “The deer, inside and out” has now proven to be a great success. The reviews were also positive. All magazines of the associations involved contain only enthusiastic reactions. You can buy another copy on the spot, or have your copy signed.

The national board emphasizes the wish that members will be present in large numbers at this special general meeting and the 14th lustrum celebration!
