The word reed goose does not fit this bird because she does not have much in common with a reed goose. She has a light gray upper face with a much darker neck. Her flesh-colored bill is mixed with a lot of black. The legs are also pink or flesh-colored. Her call is very musical and short. They come very quickly to winter quarters if they can find sufficient rest there.
