The Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB), an agency of the Flemish government, works every day on the conservation, protection and development of nature reserves, forests and parks.
Within the Flemish Administration, the ANB is an Internal Autonomous Agency without legal personality that is part of the Department of Environment, Nature and Energy (LNE).
The ANB is the organizer of the Hunting Exam.
HVV is the only interest group for hunting and hunters in Flanders and represents a large majority of Flemish hunters. HVV is the official discussion partner in the field of hunting for the Flemish Government.
HVV stands for sustainable, grazing hunting and promotes the preservation of our Flemish biodiversity. It conducts research into the development of wildlife and advises the wildlife management units (WBEs) for the management of animal species and their habitat.
With a view to better support for the Flemish hunting sector, and the wildlife management units in particular, the Knowledge Centre was established in 2006 within the Hubertus Vereniging Vlaanderen.
For the WBEs, the Knowledge Centre mainly takes care of the recognition file, administrative simplification, the digitisation of the hunting plan, the preparation of the wildlife management plan, etc.
There is also scientific research on the effect of hunting on the various game species, hunting techniques, etc.
In addition, HVV also publishes a magazine, De Vlaamse Jager, as a member magazine of the association.

With a reach of almost all Flemish Hunters (on average more than 300 per day and 8,000+ unique visitors per quarter), based on more than 2,500 enthusiastic members, hunting·be is the only online medium to communicate optimally, visually attractively, and very directly and quickly. The weekly newsletter has a reach of 7,000 hunters, of which almost 50% click through and visit the entire site.
Jachexamen.be is a preparation for the hunting exam. It is not a hunting course. This website does exactly what it stands for: preparing the aspiring hunter for the official hunting exam. We don’t just want to transfer knowledge, but we also want to offer an adapted curriculum. Furthermore, we can monitor the progress of the participants (and thus encourage them where necessary) to ensure that participants are maximally prepared for the actual exam.
Our main aim is to help aspiring hunters overcome their first hurdle, the theoretical exam, and to increase their chances of success. In our opinion, the real hunting training for hunters follows later, first during the practical preparation, but especially after obtaining the hunting leave, through contact with fellow hunters and experienced hands.
Hunting Expo is an annual Hunting Fair that takes place alternately in Flanders (Flanders Expo – Ghent) and in Wallonia.
The “IJO” vzw is an educational institution with the aim of propagating grazing hunting. This is the method of hunting that corresponds to the written and unwritten laws and ethical standards that testify to a deep respect for, great knowledge and effective protection and management of nature in general and the various game species in particular.
Jachtexamen.be is the online learning environment for hunting, providing optimal exam preparation.
