Bow hunting in South Africa
One of our members, John Taverniers, will give a short presentation about a special bow hunt in South Africa. We do not give away any details, you can come and admire them yourself at the bar counter.
How much speed does an arrow lose at 25 meters?
With the bow hunters present, we will measure how much speed and therefore how much kinetic energy an arrow loses over 25 meters. We will do the test with heavy and light arrows and see if this gives a measurable difference. So bow hunters who want to know how much speed is left of their arrow after 25 meters can test this on Saturday 3 September.
