Hunting and Covid 19

In light of the latest developments in the Covid-19 epidemic, the Consultative Committee, which met on Friday, has taken decisions that will apply from Saturday 27 November.

These are the measures regarding hunting:

There are no prohibitions or restrictions on outdoor activities. Hunting, the round, tableau, eating and picnicking can therefore be done without any restrictions. However, it is again recommended to observe the well-known hygiene and distance measures.

Indoor meals and gatherings are not allowed, except in a private home. They may not be organized in a hut, a cottage, a closed shed or a room rented for the occasion.

If a caterer is used in a private home, the HORECA rules apply, i.e.:

– The maximum number of people per table is limited to six.

– Only table seating is allowed.

– The opening hours of the caterer are limited and run from 5 am to 11 pm.

Meals may also be served in a catering establishment, provided that the rules of the establishment are observed.

The following guidelines are also recommended to ensure everyone’s safety:

– Limit your contact and avoid hugs and kisses.

– Wear a mask in vehicles when carpooling.

– Do not go to a group hunt if you have symptoms or test positive. Use self-tests available in pharmacies and supermarkets.

– Notify the organizer and your hunting companions if you become ill immediately after a hunting day.
