Young hare at Candlemas.

It’s that time again, the first hares are born. In contrast to the rabbit that is born underground and bald, hares are born hairy above ground. Leave the bunnies quietly and do not touch them,… The mother is always nearby and comes to give milk to her young a few times a day, she wants to attract as little attention as possible from predators. We also continue to insist on walkers to leash their dogs to the lesson!
A well-known weather proverb says: “At Candlemas the snow falls on a warm stone” or what my grandfather used to say: “At Candlemas there is a young hare in the field”.
