Viper-Flex shooting poles explained: four models, one system

Anyone who has ever shot with a Viper-Flex will immediately understand why these shooting sticks have built up such a reputation. Stability, speed and flexibility come together here in one well-thought-out system. Whether you’re hunting standing up, kneeling or shooting lying down — Viper-Flex offers a solution that adapts to your way of hunting.

What makes Viper-Flex unique is its modular design. With simple movements, you can transform the stick from two-legged to four-legged or even five-legged. This makes it not only ideal for standing shooting, but also perfect for sitting or lying positions. In addition, it can also be used to stably support binoculars during observation. In almost any hunting situation, Viper-Flex offers maximum control.

Below you will find an overview of the four most important models.

1. Viper-Flex Styx Elite+

The Viper-Flex Elite is made of aluminum and is known for its robust and rock-solid support. This model is suitable for lying, kneeling and standing shooting and offers a very stable base.

Key features:

  • Made of black anodized aluminum

  • Suitable for hunters from 1.20 to 2.10 m

  • Retracted length: 110 cm

  • Weight: 1.1 kg

  • Quick and easy height adjustment

  • Can be transported in a rifle case next to the weapon

  • Grips included

The Elite is a reliable all-round shooting stick for those who want maximum stability in a sturdy aluminum design.

2. Viper-Flex Styx Journey +

The Viper-Flex Journey is designed as a light and extremely strong pirsch pole for bear hunting. This model is made up of three parts: aluminum, carbon and aluminum. Its design makes it suitable for disassembly and carrying in a carrying case — ideal for transport, even by plane.

Key features:

  • Aluminum and carbon construction

  • Detachable, shortest length in transport: 65 cm

  • Can be shortened to 118 cm

  • Suitable for hunters from 1.20 to 1.95 m

  • Quick height adjustment

Thanks to the carbon, cold is less likely to pass on to the hands, which makes it particularly comfortable at low temperatures.

3. Viper-Flex Styx PRO

The Viper-Flex PRO is made entirely of carbon (two parts) and is one of the lightest and most stable models in the range. This model is suitable for lying, sitting, kneeling and standing shooting.

The four-legged PRO can also be used as a one-legged or two-legged shooting stick for stalking or drive hunting. In addition, it can serve as a support for binoculars while hunting.

Key features:

  • Full full carbon version

  • Weight: 0.85 kg

  • Retracted length: 110 cm

  • Suitable for shooters up to 2.10 m

  • One-handed operation

  • Wide front: covers 20 m wide at 100 m distance without displacement

  • Rubber feet for hard and soft ground

  • Rubber feet reduce noise

  • Easy height adjustment

  • Fits in a gun case

For even more stability, this model can be expanded with a Single Leg Styx PRO.

4. Viper-Flex Styx PRO TO GO

The PRO TO GO is the travel-friendly version of the PRO. This model consists of three parts and can be stored compactly, making it easy to transport in a suitcase.

Like the PRO, it is suitable for lying, sitting, kneeling and standing shooting and can also be used as a one- or two-legged shooting stick.

Key features:

  • Full carbon version

  • Three parts (travel-friendly design)

  • Retracted length: 91 cm

  • Weight: 0.9 kg

  • Suitable for shooters up to 2.05 m

  • One-handed operation

  • Wide front for 20 m range at 100 m

  • Rubber feet for optimal grip and noise reduction

  • Quick height adjustment

  • Can be transported in a suitcase

Again, a Single Leg Styx PRO TO GO can be added for extra stability.

Which Viper-Flex do you choose?

  • Choose the Elite if you want a robust aluminum stick with maximum stability.

  • Choose the Journey if you are looking for a light, detachable pirsch pole for travel and bear hunting.

  • Choose the PRO if you want the lightest and most stable full carbon version.

  • Choose the PRO TO GO if you are traveling and still want maximum stability in a more compact size.

What do they have in common? Quickly deployable, extremely stable and deployable in almost any shooting position. Viper-Flex provides control when it counts — and that’s what makes the difference between a questionable shot and a clean placement.
