Some facts about the roe deer
- In July, reproduction begins with the mating season that lasts until mid-August.
- After a few days, the fertilized eggs enter the uterus and a four-and-a-half-month period in which the fetuses grow little, the delayed implantation, begins. From mid-December onwards, it will then develop rapidly into embryos.
- The fawns are born in May or June.
- Usually there are two, sometimes one and sometimes three.
Some facts about the mouflon
- Mouflons are not native, but come from Sardinia and Corsica.
- Snails: headdress of the Ram of the Mouflon
- The males (rams) have large, twisted snails, which become longer and rounder as they get older.
- Some females also get snails, but they remain much smaller.
- Mouflons always keep their snails.
