Dates of the RSHCB course
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March
- Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April
- Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April
- Saturday 26 April

The Practical Hunting Exam
The practical hunting exam, organized by the DNF, consists of two parts (dates and location to be confirmed):
1️⃣ First part
- Firearm knowledge and handling
- Verification of hunting and safety knowledge on the basis of three forms of hunting:
- Walking behind small game (chasse à la botte)
- Drive hunting of big game and foxes
- Sit-down and bear hunting (approche et affût) for big game and foxes
2️⃣ Second part
Target practice:
- Shooting with a pellet gun (rifled barrel) with a rifle scope at a fixed target at 100 meters
- Shooting with a shotgun (smooth barrels) at moving targets (clay shooting)
- Proper handling of firearms and compliance with safety regulations
Immediate elimination in the event of a safety error
Any violation of the safety rules will result in the immediate exclusion of the candidate. However, there is a possibility of a second chance, depending on the decision of the DNF:
- On the same day or
- At the end of the session of the component in question
RSHCB Training Days
To prepare candidates well for the practical hunting exam, the RSHCB organizes training days for both parts.
Course dates: (to be confirmed)
Location: Oudoumont – 4537 Verlaine
Duration: 5 to 6 hours per day (Saturday or Sunday)
Small groups: max. 6 participants per session (1 instructor per 1 to 2 people)
Equipment: weapons, optics and equipment similar to those of the official exam
Prices: price per course: €169
Including:
- Use of weapons and training room
- Course A: running behind small game, other game and waterfowl
- Course B: big game drive hunt
- Course C: sit and bear hunt
- Blank training on the different courses
- Bullet Rifle Initiation (PCP Rifle)
- Shotgun initiation (clay shooting with shooting simulator)
