Willy Borsus, Minister of Hunting, very quickly forwarded his communication to Le Royal St. Hubert, and reads as follows:The ordinary hunting of roebuck, hunting of wild boar in case of damage, hunting of wild boar in the context of “le pest porcine africaine”, rabbit and fox is possible again from 4 May:It is important that the hunter can prove a document that he has the right to hunt on a specific site. The police have already been informed and will CERTAINLY carry out checks on this.

Some specific rules to be observed:

  • Hygiene measures must always be applied.
  • Paying attention to social distancing.
  • You take a trip ALONE.
  • Have Walloon hunting leave in your pocket (always mandatory).
  • A document that you can use to prove that you have the right to hunt on a hunting ground.
  • Always taking the shortest way home. (No detours). *1
  • It is allowed to hunt with a relative who lives under the same address.

*1 Tofollow the most direct route between his home and his hunting ground for both the outward journey and the return. So it is not the intention to spend the night somewhere, but to drive straight home.
