Filip De Pauw, in addition to being an amiable man also an experienced hand in the profession, makes it a point of honour to involve young hunters in the management of his hunting area. He wants to pass on his insights to the next generation, and at the same time give the young people every opportunity to grow and supplement their theoretical knowledge of the hunting exam with practical experience. Filip is therefore very much in favor of offering internships in the form of a kind of sponsorship. A practice, he says himself in a new episode of Hubertus TV, which definitely deserves to be followed. ‘Especially now that more and more people without a background in hunting are taking the step towards game management. Including young people in the ranks is also necessary for the future and the rejuvenation of the sector. It’s a shame not to let all that talent develop. All the more so because the young generation brings new insights and methods from which everyone can learn.’ Looking for hunting opportunities as a starter?
