I would like to respond to the 'Pano' broadcast of 13 December on VRT 1 about the illegal release of game in Flanders. The question of why in the whole of Europe only Flanders and the Netherlands have introduced a total ban on letting pheasant, partridge or mallard go wild was not discussed at all, nor how shaky the ideological argumentation behind these unreasonable regulations is.
