Within our training – Jachtexamen.be – we have some chapters on Dogs. Free, only registration is required.
For practice, we would like to refer to specialists.
The Hunting Dogs Zuiderkempen stands for a traditional hunting dog training and has been for more than 25 years.
We try to have the lessons take place in a beautiful setting, namely the Merode Forests. The intention is to visit all the facets of hunting in group and under expert guidance. So that the dog can be used in hunting with a whole package of knowledge. The training is not competition-oriented, but does strive for learning to read the dog and the perfect communication between hunter and dog. Because different gundog types participate, we try to pay attention to each participant.
Starting with the basic training, following, sitting, coming, etc. are the first steps in the training. In order to be able to continue with the user training from next year, a small test will first have to be passed. So the training is split up. Then the user training is offered and we try to practice all the necessary exercises, such as fetch, lost retrieve, revier, standing, waterwork. Both the dummy and shot game are practiced. It takes perseverance from hunter and dog to make the dogs obey. As a supervisor, we are always ready to help with the slightest problem.
