The changes are important for Belgian and other foreign hunters operating on French territory. We list the most important points:  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\n<h3>Stricter requirements for the transport of weapons<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The existing rule stated that a weapon in a vehicle had to be <span class=\"s1\">in a case or dismantled and unloaded<\/span> . An additional requirement is now added: <\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">The weapon may also not be equipped with ammunition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s3\">In concrete terms, this means that the <\/span>warehouse must be completely empty<span class=\"s3\">, and that <\/span>removable warehouses must not only be removed, but also completely emptied<span class=\"s3\"> during transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Expansion of permitted electronic aids<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The 1986 decree on the use of electronic aids during hunting was also updated. The most important novelties: <\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Dog trackers<\/span> for pointers were only allowed when hunting woodcock. Now they are <span class=\"s1\">allowed for all game species that are hunted with pointers<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Thermal monoculars and binoculars<span class=\"s1\"> are now allowed, <\/span>as long as they cannot be used hands-free. <span class=\"s1\"> Thermal rifle scopes or <\/span>clip-ons<span class=\"s1\"> (which are mounted on a rifle scope) <\/span>remain prohibited<span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Shotkams and similar devices<span class=\"s1\"> \u2014 which automatically record video when fired \u2014 are permitted <\/span>provided they are no more than 15 cm long<span class=\"s1\"> and <\/span>are attached under the barrel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"s3\">Please note that even though these tools are now legally permitted, <\/span>organisers or managers of hunting estates can still choose to prohibit them through their own internal regulations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For those who hunt in France, it is strongly recommended to inform themselves well about these new regulations.
